The College of Charleston School of Business spent the summer and early fall months organizing and developing new content for its new Web site, sb.cofc.edu.  It views the web site as the primary window for prospective students and outside visitors into the diverse academic, research and enrichment programs that the school offers.

The new web site is framed in the main College of Charleston’s design and uses the new content management tool to design and maintain it.  Over the past five months, Sandy Krezmien-Funk, the web project leader, and 15 users within the School of Business were trained to upload and manage content for their respective areas.  In addition, the School of Business captured new photography of its facilities, faculty and students engaged in academic life and added graphics and YouTube videos to enhance the visual experience.

“The site is a drastic improvement over our old site and really reflects our direction to globalize and strengthen the scope of our academic programs,” says Dr. Alan Shao, dean of the School of Business.  “Thanks to all of the staff and faculty who committed themselves to making this happen, including those in marketing communication, IT and web services.”

“We are excited to have a new site and a tool that gives us the flexibility to write and manage content,” says Sandy Krezmien-Funk.  “This is only our first phase.  We expect to make continual improvements to the site as we add new majors, programs and capabilities.”
