College of Charleston professor Edward Hart’s original composition “Three Latin Rivers” will be played October 8 by the Charleston Symphony Orchestra as the opening to the Backstage Pass Series. The concert will begin at 7:00 p.m. at Memminger Auditorium. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $5 for students.

SIFE Students Help with Recycling Progam

The College of Charleston’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team is helping to launch an oyster shell recycling program for Charleston area restaurants. According to The Nature Conservancy, more than 3 million pounds of oysters sold in South Carolina each year are bought by restaurants and an $8,000 grant will start a pilot recycling program.
