There is still time to catch College of Charleston students and alumni in more than a dozen 2010 Piccolo Spoleto Festival events. The finales of both the Piccolo Spoleto Festival and Spoleto Festival USA will be on June 13.

Piccolo Spoleto: Young Artist Series at the College of Charleston features Department of Music students with a final concert Saturday at noon. Since the opening of the festival, they have received positive reviews in both the Charleston City Paper and the Post and Courier.

The Department of Theatre’s Stelle di Domani (“stars of tomorrow”) series has received more than 17 press mentions, including gracing the cover of the Charleston City Paper on June 9. There are still opportunities to catch alumnus David Lee Nelson’s “Status Update” and performances of “Lone Star,” Reasons to be Pretty” and “Thom Pain.”

Other College of Charleston productions during Piccolo Spoleto included the College of Charleston Opera, the College of Charleston Concert Choir, the Early Music Series and Robert Ivey Ballet (in residence at the College).
