On Sunday, March 13, 2011 the College of Charleston men’s basketball team will accept an invitation to the National Invitation Tournament (NIT) during the Selection Show on ESPNU 9:00 p.m. During the Selection Show, the Cougars’ seed, who they will play and game location will be announced. This is the Cougars’ first appearance in the NIT since 2003.
The College of Charleston has submitted a bid to host early-round NIT games. First-round games will be held on either Tuesday, March 15 or Wednesday, March 16. Should the Cougars be awarded a home game, tickets will be available for sale on Monday, March 14 at www.CofCSports.com or by calling 843-953-CofC. General Admission seats will cost $20 while all college students with a valid ID and all youth 18 and under will cost $4.
Should the Cougars be selected for a road game, ticket information will be made available beginning Monday, March 14. Additional information, including pre-game pep rallies; transportation to and from the game, and hotel accommodations will be made available as soon as possible.
