As a member of the Great Britain National Team, College of Charleston’s Andrew Lawrence (London, England) will compete against Team USA in an exhibition game to be held on Thursday, July 19, at Manchester Arena in Manchester, England. Tipoff between the British and Americans is slated for 2 p.m. (ET) / 7 p.m. (local time in Great Britain – five hour difference) with the game being televised nationally on ESPN2.

Lawrence, a 6-foot-1 rising senior point guard for the Cougars, will compete in the upcoming 2012 Summer Olympic Games to be held on July 27-August 12 in London, England. He is the lone current collegian and youngest player on the squad at age 22. Team Great Britain is led by current Chicago Bulls forward Luol Deng and former Dallas Mavericks forward Pops Mensah-Bonsu.

Meanwhile, the U.S. squad is comprised of NBA stars LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, Carmelo Anthony, Blake Griffin, James Harden, Kevin Love, Chris Paul, Russell Westbrook, Deron Williams, Tyson Chandler and Andrew Iguodala.

Great Britain is in Pool B with Australia, Brazil, China, Russia and Spain, while Team USA is in Pool A with Argentina, France, Lithuania, Nigeria and Tunisia.

Team GB will open Olympic preliminary-round action against Russia on Sunday, July 29 at 3 p.m. (ET) / 8 p.m. (local time) at The Basketball Arena located in the Olympic Park in Stratford, London, England.

Great Britain is also scheduled to compete against Brazil on Tuesday, July 31 at 11:45 a.m. (ET) / 4:45 p.m. (local time), versus Spain on Thursday, Aug. 2 at 3 p.m. (ET) / 8 p.m. (local time), against Australia on Saturday, Aug. 4 at 3 p.m. (ET) / 8 p.m. (local time) and versus China on Monday, Aug. 6 at 11:45 a.m. (ET) / 4:45 p.m. (local time).
