The College of Charleston Department of Political Science will present a speech from nationally-known political strategist Joe Trippi on November 12, 2012 in Physicians Auditorium.

His speech entitled “Dissecting the 2012 Election” is free and open to the public. The program begins at 7 p.m.

A mainstay in presidential politics, Trippi has worked on the presidential campaigns of Edward Kennedy, Walter Mondale, Gary Hart, Dick Gephardt, Jerry Brown and most recently John Edwards. Most notably, he served as campaign manager for presidential candidate and former Vermont governor Howard Dean. Trippi is the author of The Revolution Will Not Be Televised: Democracy, the Internet, and the Overthrow of Everything (2004) and continues to work on elections in the US and abroad.

Trippi has been profiled in The New York Times, The New Republic, Fast Company, The Atlantic, The Washington Post and The New York Times Magazine. He is a CBS News political analyst and former Harvard University Fellow.
