The College of Charleston’s rowing crew team of Hank Hays and Joseph Berger won the ACRA National Championship in the Men’s 2X over the weekend. The competition was held at the 1996 Olympic Rowing Venue at Lake Lanier in Gainesville, Georgia. IMG_8690-590x393

This marks the first national title ever for the College of Charleston Crew program.

The Charleston team defeated the teams from Duke, Virginia, Rochester, Seattle, Grand Valley and Bucknell to win the title.

The College of Charleston Crew Team was founded in the Spring of 1989. It encompasses both the women’s and men’s teams and is made up of more than 50 athletes.
