“Students from diverse backgrounds are vital to the College. One common denominator among all students and families throughout the college search and admission process—is that it can be daunting. A language barrier only exacerbates that feeling” says Susan Oakes, director for admissions and recruitment. “This is a process families experience together and a decision they often make together. Lines of communication must remain open not just for the prospective student but also for his/her family. The College may very well be home to these students. Parents can take comfort in knowing the College strives to foster familiarity and a welcoming environment for all.”
