The College of Charleston Board of Trustees voted today to approve a tuition increase of 3.20 percent for in-state undergraduate students and a 3.20 percent increase for out-of-state undergraduate students for the 2014-2015 academic year.

For 2014-2015, full-time undergraduate South Carolina students will pay $10,558 in annual tuition. Out-of-state full-time undergraduate students will pay $27,548.

Graduate School tuition will be $11,614 for in-state residents and $30,304 for out-of-state residents.

“We have worked to minimize tuition increases over the past several years, while at the same time maintaining the high quality of our academic programs,” said Greg Padgett, Chair of the Board of Trustees. “The Board of Trustees remains committed to maintaining our academic quality at a reasonable price.”

The tuition increase associated with this year’s budget will likely leave the College of Charleston’s tuition ranking 6th for in-state tuition among South Carolina’s 13 four-year public universities.
