This month, College of Charleston Athletics is hosting promotional events with two local professional sports teams – The Charleston Battery soccer team and The Charleston RiverDogs baseball team. And members of the College of Charleston community are invited to attend at a discount price.
“CofC Night with the Charleston Battery” takes place Aug. 15, 2014, at Blackbaud Stadium on Daniel Island. The Battery will take on the Rochester Rhinos at 7:30 p.m.
The Charleston Battery are one of the premier minor league soccer teams in the USL Pro Division. Fans will also have the opportunity to meet with members of the College’s soccer teams, including head coaches Ralph Lundy and Christian Michner.
“CofC Night at the Joe” with the Charleston RiverDogs takes place Aug. 28, 2014, at Joseph P. Riley, Jr. Ballpark (“The Joe”) on the banks of the Ashley River in Charleston.
During the RiverDogs event, the College’s baseball team will be honored for its remarkable run to the NCAA Super Regional round and its final year-end national ranking of 16th, the highest of any college baseball team in South Carolina in 2014.
