Stretch your synapses and warm up your cerebral cortex, because former religion and philosophy student Andrew Aghapour ’07 is arriving on campus to discuss neuroplasticity.
Aghapour, who is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, as well as an amateur comedian, is returning to the College on March 24, 2015, to discuss pop theology and the conceptualization of religion in the modern age.
A regular contributor to Religion Dispatches, Aghapour will explore the ideas of spiritual and scientific authors that include Deepak Chopra and Andrew Newberg in a talk titled, “The Religion of Human Nexus: Neuroplasticity in an Age of Enhancement.”
