Students Form Bonds Through Intramural and Club Sports

Going away to college doesn’t mean leaving behind the sports you played in high school. The College of Charleston offers a wide variety of intramural and club sports to keep students engaged and active in their favorite recreational passions. There are clubs and/or intramural leagues for everything from karate, rugby and cycling to racquetball, basketball and belly dancing.

And for many students, intramural sports and sports clubs are a great way to make new friends. Just ask intramural basketball champions Mitchell Campbell, Tremayne Garvin, Patrick Young and Matt Suchecki (featured in the video below) — who came together through their shared love of basketball, baseball and flag football. Their off-the-court chemistry helped propel them to a basketball championship.
