The College of Charleston is teaming with Chucktown Squash and Engaging Creative Minds to launch a summer initiative targeting third through eighth graders in the Charleston area.

STEAM CAMP

STEAM Camp

The six-week Summer STEAM Institute, to be held at the College from June 15 through July 24, 2015, is designed to assist students in learning standards-based curriculum while working alongside local artists, scientists, technology and math professionals. The students will engage in unique athletic and physical contests and travel across the Tri-county region on weekly field trips.

The Summer STEAM Institute is limited to 100 participants, and each group has no more than five students to allow for a more personalized experience. Participants can register for one week or multiple weeks.

Camp hours are 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. with an extended day option and breakfast, lunch and healthy snacks included in the price. The cost is $200 per week for individual weeks or $175 per week if registering for 3 or more weeks.
