This is not an April Fools’ joke — ’90s rock band Hootie & the Blowfish plays TD Arena on April 1, 2016. Tickets are open to the public and start at $44. There are a limited amount available, so these will go fast. If you know every word of “Hold My Hand,” you may want to stop what you’re doing and buy tickets.

The “Only Wanna Be with You” group rocks out on the College of Charleston campus as part of The Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate Golf Tournament. College golf teams from across the country are invited to compete at the Bulls Bay Golf Club in Awendaw for two days. The April 1 concert at TD Arena kicks off the weekend’s events.

Hootie & the Blowfish lead guitarist and founding member Mark Bryan is as an adjunct professor in the College’s arts management program, so we have ties to the band in more ways than one.
