Every Cougar knows it: The College of Charleston, with its Spanish moss-adorned live oaks, historic academic halls and wrought iron embellishments, is one of the country’s most beautiful campuses in all the land.

And now, you can vote for CofC to take home the title of “Most Beautiful College.”

That’s because CofC is one of 20 finalists in Travel + Leisure’s “Most Beautiful College” contest. And as of Wednesday morning, the College was in the lead with 19 percent of the vote.

Readers are urged to vote for the College at Travel + Leisure’s website.

The deadline to cast your ballot is July 6, 2017.

The College of Charleston is the only South Carolina institution in the contest.

The other finalists include Spring Hill College in Mobile, Alabama; Bryn Mawr College in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania; the University of Montana in Missoula, Montana; Colby College in Waterville, Maine; Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois; Lehigh University in Allentown, Pennsylvania; Princeton University in Princeton, New Jersey; University of South Florida St. Petersburg in St. Petersburg, Florida; Utah State University in Logan, Utah; Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego; Soka University of America in Aliso Viejo, California; College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts; Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida; Berry College in Rome, Georgia; Hanover College in Hanover, Indiana; Indiana University-Bloomington in Bloomington, Indiana; Duke University in Durham, North Carolina; the University of California, Los Angeles in Los Angeles; and Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska.
