College of Charleston welcomes 3,254 new students (2,194 freshmen, 1080 transfer) to campus for the 2009-2010 academic year. The Class of 2013 is the most geographically diverse in the College’s history with students coming from 46 states and 11 countries.

The students are also some of the most accomplished and entrepreneurial. The class includes a member of the U.S. International Sailing Team, a hibachi chef and many high school student body presidents, Eagle Scouts and business owners.

The most popular first name for girls is Sarah and the most popular first name for guys is John.
