The College of Charleston AXE Gamma Delta Fraternity recently collected 7,852 food cans for the Tri-County Family Ministries in North Charleston.
The AXE is a professional chemistry student organization.
The students collected the cans during a two-week competition between Biology and Chemistry classes at the College. 25 professors and classes participated in the competition.
Last year, AXE collected a total of 2,500 can for the Ministries during the food drive.
