Primerica Inc.’s board of directors has elected longtime educator P. George Benson to its board of directors.
Benson, 63, has been appointed to serve on both the audit and compensation committees, the company said in a news release Monday.
Benson has been the president of the College of Charleston in Charleston, S.C. since February 2007. He has also been dean of the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia, and dean of the Rutgers Business School. Additionally, Benson has served on the faculty of the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.
