One of the jazziest things I’ve seen in a while is an exhibition at the Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art at the College of Charleston, “Call and Response: Africa to America/The Art of Nick Cave and Phyllis Galembo.”
In partnership with the Spoleto Festival, curator Mark Sloan has mounted an eye-popping spectacle that goes to the bone.
