The tenuous state of California’s municipal bond market will be the topic of a talk this week at the College of Charleston’s School of Business.

Keith Sauls, managing partner of AppleGold and a 1990 graduate of the college, will argue that the Golden State is not “going under” as many financial analysts have predicted. His presentation, titled “Cry Fire, Then Sell Insurance,” is open to students, faculty and the general public. The talk is set for Tuesday at 7 p.m. in Beatty Center’s Wachovia Auditorium at 5 Liberty St.
