Grab your fins and a snorkel and get ready for College of Charleston’s Homecoming 2011, “Under the CofC.” The Homecoming celebration will begin Monday, January 31st and end Saturday, February 5th and will include a Pep Rally, Golf Cart Parade and pre-game tailgate. Full schedule.

“This year’s theme was inspired by our beautiful beaches as well as our historic coastal city,” says Bethany Wendler, assistant director of student life.

Greek Life’s Tri-Council will be hosting a chili cook off, The Center for Civic Engagement is sponsoring a community outreach project (Cougars Taking Action), and Delta Sigma Theta will be hosting their annual AIDS Benefit Fashion Show.  The week will be capped off by an exciting concert at the Music Farm after the men’s and women’s Homecoming basketball games on Saturday.  The annual Spirit Cup Competition will be taking place throughout the week that will give all student organizations involved the opportunity to show their CofC Pride.

Beware, a CofC Spirit Patrol will be patrolling campus all week to see which students, faculty and staff support College of Charleston by wearing the school’s colors with pride.  If you are caught rocking Cougar colors, you may get a prize!  So get your game face on and start preparing for a week “Under the CofC.”
