The College of Charleston provides one of the nation’s best values in education, according to a Kiplinger’s report published today. Kiplinger’s Personal Finance Magazine named the College of Charleston number 85 on its list of the top 100 public colleges and universities in the nation.

Kiplinger’s rankings are based on data provided by more than 500 public four-year colleges supplemented by the magazine’s independent research. Ranking measures include ACT scores, admission and retention rates, student-faculty ratios, the percentage of faculty with the highest degree in their field, how much each school spends on instruction for each student, how much each school spends on library facilities, and four-and six-year graduation rates.

The College was one of three South Carolina schools to make the list, and has been included on the list for the past five years. For more information, visit www.kiplinger.com/reports/best-college-values.
