The Office of Multicultural Student Programs and Services will host Raise Your Voice on Friday, January 14, 2011 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Stern Student Center Ballroom. This will be an evening of poetry, songs and spoken word for human rights. For more information, contact 843.953.5367.

The Center for Civic Engagment will host the 7th Annual MLK Challenge on Monday, January 17. Teams will go into the Charleston community and perform service projects – making it a day “on,” not a day “off.” Those interested in helping should email volunteer@cofc.edu.

On Tuesday, January 18, 2011, the Office of Institutional Diversity will present the MLK Candlelight Unity and Peac Rally in the Stern Center Garden at 4:30 p.m. It is an opportunity to reflect on Dr. King’s legacy through poetry and prose readings, songs, and a candlelight march.
