Loaded down with eleven laptops, three SmartBoards projectors, a seemingly endless amount of charitably donated items, high hopes and all the gear needed to voyage into the countryside of Cameroon, Africa, The College of Charleston’s global outreach program, Technology For Africa, departed Charleston last week.

They will be traveling over 7,578 miles to deliver, install, and teach the students and teachers about the $39,000 worth of technology over the course of ten action-packed days.

During their stay, the students will also be educating students of topics specific to Entrepreneurship, Environmental Sustainability, and Business Ethics. Extensive photography, video, and blogging will take place every day of their journey.

The students are expected to return to Charleston on March 13, 2011.
