CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) – Fifteen College of Charleston students file into a Finance 385 class, set up their laptops, fiddle with Facebook, chit chat, then settle in for a 75-minute lecture on risk management.

Everything about the class seems normal, almost. The thing that’s different is their teacher is blind.

Standing before them is Peter Alan Smith, an executive-in-residence in the School of Business, dressed in a blue blazer, khaki pants and a nice red tie. They can see him, but he can’t see them.
