The College of Charleston Board of Trustees voted today to maintain tuition at current levels for South Carolina residents, and to increase tuition 5 percent for out-of-state students, for the 2011-12 school year.

“The Board is sensitive to the challenges many families are facing during this period of economic recovery,” said BOT Chairman Greg Padgett.

For the 2011-12 school year, undergraduate South Carolina students will pay $9,616 in annual tuition. Out-of-state students will pay $24,330. Graduate School tuition will be $10,580 for instate residents and $26,764 for out-of-state residents.

The Board will meet on June 30 to approve a final budget for 2011-12.
