College of Charleston President P. George Benson has been awarded the 2011 Milliken Medal of Quality from the S.C. Quality Forum.
The award, named for the late Spartanburg businessman Roger Milliken, honors those who demonstrate leadership, innovation and outstanding achievement. “Roger Milliken was a giant in business and a pioneer in American manufacturing,” said Benson, College of Charleston president since 2007. “I am humbled to be associated with one of South Carolina’s most accomplished and revered business leaders.”
