CHARLESTON, SOUTH CAROLINA—Friday afternoon, presidential candidate Stephen Colbert, son of South Carolina and estranged father of the Definitely Not Coordinating with Stephen Colbert Super PAC, held a rally with former G.O.P. hopeful Herman Cain at a courtyard on the College of Charleston campus. While the Colbert campaign is slightly enigmatic—the satirist denies it’s an educational prank—Cain’s good-natured participation in the rally is truly baffling.
