The Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art with special recognition for Mark Sloan
The Halsey Institute of Contemporary Art in Charleston is like a museum you might find in Cincinnati or Chicago — places with big arts scenes and an emphasis on culture.
It’s not out of the box, then, for senior director and curator Mark Sloan to call the institute, a non-collecting contemporary museum, “unusual.”
