CofC names dean of North Campus – Charleston Business Journal

An economics professor from Georgia Southern University has been named to lead the College of Charleston’s North Campus.

Godfrey Gibbison takes over at the College of Charleston’s campus located near the SCRA Trident Research Center in North Charleston on July 1.

Gibbison also serves as director of GSU’s School of Economic Development in the College of Business Administration. He earned a Ph.D. in economics in 1998 from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. Gibbison also holds a master’s in agricultural economics and a bachelor’s in economics. He has been with Georgia Southern since August 2002, the college said in a news release.
