In the past year, professors in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the College of Charleston have been published in more than 150 publications, including books, textbooks, book chapters and articles. Many of those publications are showcased here.

“Faculty in the School of Humanities and Social Sciences are teacher-scholars who have a strong command of their chosen field and the ability to synthesize and structure that material in a way that engages undergraduate students,” says Interim Dean Maureen Hays. “Because research and teaching are a continuous dialogue, these teacher-scholars are committed to disseminating new knowledge in the classroom, professionally, and to the public. These publications over the last year exemplify that commitment.”
