The College of Charleston political science department will host a panel discussion on the current U.S. Supreme Court session entitled “ Justice for the Justices?: The Supreme Court Rules” on April 3, 2013. The panel discussion will be held in the Wells Fargo Auditorium starting at 7 p.m.
The panel discussion will cover several major cases before the Supreme Court including gay marriage, affirmative action, drug sniffing dogs, search warrants for DNA, and voting rights.
The panel will be comprised of Professor Claire Wofford from the College of Charleston Department of Political Science; Judge Alex Sanders from the Department of Political Science and Charleston School of Law; Professor Sheila B. Scheuerman from the Charleston School of Law; Charleston Attorney David Aylor; and Attorney Susan Dunn, Legal Director of the South Carolina Chapter of the ACLU.
