As part of its ongoing Think Differently Forum, The College of Charleston School of Business will host Ellen Gustafson, co-founder of FEED Projects, LLC and its nonprofit partner, the FEED Foundation.

Gustafson will speak about her eye-opening experience with the increasingly popular one-for-one profit model on April 3, 2014 at 6 p.m. in Physicians Memorial Auditorium (3 College Way). This event is free and open to the public.

In 2007 Gustafson and Lauren Bush cofounded FEED Projects, LLC and the FEED Foundation, organizations dedicated to helping feed families of the world with profits from custom-designed bags. Gustafson stepped down from her positions in both organizations after realizing that the one-for-one profit model used by companies who claim to be selling for social goodness may be hurting people more than helping them.

Light refreshments will precede the Think Differently Forum at 5:30 p.m. in the lobby of Physicians Memorial Auditorium, and a reception will follow the event. Attendess can also participate in a raffle for dinner baskets with a healthy recipe and organic ingredients from Whole Foods Marketplace.
