The College of Charleston is one of 50 organizations selected to participate in Lowcountry Giving Day, a 24-hour, online-only fundraising campaign that is part of the national campaign, Give Local America. The campaign is May 6, 2014 from 12 a.m. until 11:59 p.m.
Lowcountry Giving Day, facilitated by the Coastal Community Foundation, has raised $1.5 million from major donors to be used similar to matching dollars. This is the more than any other community, and more than twice as much as the next closest competitor.

All donations for the College support the College of Charleston Fund, which supports student scholarships, academic programs, faculty research, and facility and technology upgrades.
Give Local America commemorates the 100th anniversary of the community foundation movement and more than 100 community foundations, including Charleston’s, banded together to create the campaign.
