The College of Charleston’s co-ed sailing team will defend its national title in June 2014 after recently placing second at the SAISA Spring Championship in Jacksonville, Fla.
The Cougars will attempt to repeat as the nation’s best co-ed sailing team at the ICSA National Championships, held June 3-6, 2014, at St Mary’s College of Maryland.
The College –– which previously won back-to-back national championships in 2006 and 2007 –– is currently ranked No. 5 in the nation, according to Sailing World’s College Coed Rankings
Meanwhile, the sailing team has already qualified for the Women’s National Semifinals and the Team Race Nationals to be hosted by the U.S. Naval Academy on May 27 & 28 in Annapolis, Md.
