The director of the College of Charleston’s urban studies program has achieved the highest designation in his field. Political science professor Kevin Keenan passed the American Institute of Certified Planners exam, and is now an AICP certified planner.
AICP certified planners carry a high mark of distinction — they meet rigorous standards, maintain their expertise through continuing education, and serve community interests.
“This is a big honor for Kevin and will benefit our students in geography, political science, public administration, and urban studies,” notes Gibbs Knotts, political science professor and chair of the department.
