The College of Charleston baseball team defeated Long Beach State 4-2 on Monday, advancing to the Super Regional. The Cougars will travel to Rip Griffin Park in Lubbock, Texas, to take on No. 23 Texas Tech in a best-of-three game series beginning at 1 p.m., June 7, 2014.
Saturday’s game will be televised on ESPNU. Sunday’s game will take place at 3 p.m. and be shown on ESPNU, while Monday’s game, if necessary, would take place at 1 p.m. and be shown on ESPN2. All of the games will be broadcast on ESPN 910 AM radio.

The winner will earn a berth to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
The Cougars (44-17), the only No. 4 seeded team still alive in the NCAA tournament, last played in a Super Regional in 2006.

The Cougars reached the Super Regional by defeating No. 8 Florida on May 30, 2014, followed by consecutive wins over Long Beach State on May 31 and June 2. The Cougars have won six games in a row after sweeping last weekend’s Colonial Athletic Association Tournament.
