The No. 5-ranked College of Charleston co-ed sailing team placed seventh overall – just eight points shy of a Top 5 finish – at the Gill Coed Dinghy National Championship.
The championship took place June 3-6, 2014, at St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
Portions of the sailing championship, filmed by Gary Jobson and Chris Love, will be broadcast nationally on ESPNU on July 11 at 7 p.m., July 12 at 4 a.m. and 9 a.m. and July 13 at 8 a.m.
The Cougars, defending national champions in the event, tallied 269 points in the 18-field, two-division championship regatta. Yale won this year’s national title and the Henry A. Morss Memorial Trophy. Georgetown finished second, Boston College third, Stanford fourth, Tufts University fifth and Old Dominion sixth.
