McConnell introduced himself to new students and their parents and helped with some of the heavy lifting throughout the intermittent rain.
“I enjoyed my first experience in ‘organized chaos,’ as the College staff refers to moving-in days,” McConnell said. “The looks of excitement on the students’ faces reminded me of my first day here at the College when I was a freshman. The parents shared my amazement at the enormous number of items that can fit into one dorm room.”
Move in continues for first-year students and upper classmen students through August 15, 2014. PanHellenic sorority recruitment takes place between August 13 and 18, 2014 and fraternity recruitment takes place between August 18 and 23, 2014. National Pan-Hellenic Council recruitment is ongoing throughout the school year.
