As more people move into the urban core of cities like Charleston, how can city leaders redesign urban landscapes to meet the needs of urbanites in a more sustainable way?
A panel of experts will address this important question as part of the Office of Sustainability’s Greenbag Lunch Series from noon to 1 p.m. on Sept. 17, 2014. The event will take place in Tate Center, Room 202. The event is free and open to the public.
The panel includes:
- Tim Keane – Director of Planning, Preservation, and Sustainability City of Charleston
- Kevin Keenan – Assistant Professor, College of Charleston Department of Political Science
- Linda Page – Mayor, Mount Pleasant
- Kyle Taylor – Chair, U.S. Green Building Council – South Carolina Lowcountry Branch
The event is a collaboration with the Carter Real Estate Center in the School of Business and the Urban Studies program.
Light and locally sourced refreshments from GrowFood Carolina will be provided, but attendees are encouraged to bring their own lunches.
