Ambassador Hermano Telles Ribeiro, Consul General of Brazil in Atlanta, will speak at the College of Charleston on Sept. 22, 2014.
The event takes place from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in Tate Center, Room T207, located in the School of Business, 5 Liberty St. The event is free and open to the public. The topic of the ambassador’s speech is “Brazil: Emerging Market, Emerging Culture.”
The ambassador’s talk is presented by the Honorary Consulate of Brazil in South Carolina and the Center for International Education at the College of Charleston.
Ambassador Hermano Telles Ribeiro, a career Diplomat, assumed his position as Consul General of Brazil in Atlanta in January 2012. The Brazilian Consulate General serves the states of Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Born in Bern, Switzerland, he completed the diplomatic academy at Instituto Rio Branco in 1979. In 2000, received his Post-Graduate degree in Foreign Service, with a focus on “Bilateral Relations between Brazil and Mexico.”
