For the 10th consecutive year, the College of Charleston’s Department of Hispanic Studies commemorates Hispanic Heritage Month (September 15 through October 15) with various activities.

“Commemorating Hispanic Heritage Month helps showcase our department’s ongoing efforts to educate students and the community about the culture, history and language of the U.S.’s largest minority, 2nd only to Mexico in number,” said Dr. Mark P. Del Mastro, Chair of the Department of Hispanic Studies. “Observing Hispanic Heritage Month helps inform us about the people of this very important, ever-growing population of the U.S.”
