“Even today, you can still go through the South, down little country roads and see mobile homes with mailboxes that say ‘Tara’ on them,” said Harlan Greene, the head of special collections at the College of Charleston’s Addlestone Library, in reference to the sprawling, idealized plantation the O’Hara family calls home in the film.
