The College of Charleston Office of Admissions welcomes prospective students and their friends and families to an open house on October 25, 2014. Check in will begin at 9:30 a.m. in the TD Arena (301 Meeting St.), and events will conclude at 3 p.m. Open house activities, which are designed for students and families to learn more about the College and determine where it’s a good fit for them, will take visitors all around campus.

Assistant Vice President for Admissions and Enrollment Jimmie Foster, Jr. will welcome attendees to the opening. “Open House is one of many great opportunities to see the College up close, Foster said. “An event like this is specifically geared toward prospective students and their families. We hope they leave campus with a deeper understanding of the academic opportunities the College and city bring to our students.”

Additionally, program-specific information sessions led by faculty and staff will inform students who have an idea of where they’d like to focus their studies. Admissions tour guides will give campus tours and show visitors some of the College’s residence halls.

The open house will be an excellent opportunity for interested students and families to get a feel for the College and for life in Charleston. Lunch is deliberately not included in the day’s schedule so visitors can choose to either enjoy a campus dining facility or discover one of the many restaurants nearby.

Attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable walking shoes and pack an umbrella. Register online here.
