Come kick-off the 2014-2015 basketball season with the College of Charleston men’s and women’s basketball teams at the annual Basketball Block Party.
The event, which takes place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on George Street (between St. Philip and Glebe streets) on Oct. 26, 2014, is an opportunity for the campus community and the public to meet the players and coaches from both teams and enjoy a festive environment in the finals days before the first games of the season.
The block party is the culmination of the 2014 Cougar Caravan, a series of preseason events organized by the Cougar Club to introduce the College’s new basketball coaches, Earl Grant and Candice M. Jackson.
The teams will be introduced at 7 p.m. Snacks will be provided for all attendees, and Papa John’s will provide free pizza to College of Charleston students. Other activities include music by DJ Natty Heavy, giant cornhole and skeeball, Pop-A-Shot and other basketball games, face-painting, a photo booth and plenty of giveaways!
