The William V. Moore Student Research Conference will take place Friday April 10, 2015, in the Theodore S. Stern Student Center.
The conference features presentations by students studying political science, international studies, arts management and more. This year’s keynote speaker will be Sam Johnson, special assistant to the mayor of Columbia, S.C.
Panel discussions begin at 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. and are open to all.
The conference honors the late Bill Moore, who taught political science at the College for 37 years. In 2009, his family created the William V. Moore Endowed Scholarship Fund that provides a renewable scholarship to a student who demonstrates a commitment to improve the quality of life for all South Carolinians.
Other contributions from colleagues, family, and many friends and supporters have also established the William V. Moore Memorial Fund in Political Science that supports the student research conference and other initiatives.
