The College of Charleston’s Department of Geology has been honored with a $750,000 grant from NASA for professor Adem Ali‘s work on a collaborative research project entitled, “Using NASA’s Ocean Color Sensors to Identify Effects of Watershed Development and Climate Change on Coastal Marine Ecosystems of the US Virgin Islands.”
Ali is working with the University of the U.S. Virgin Islands on this project. The College was one of 15 organizations to receive a grant from NASA for research that enhances NASA’s mission. To learn more, read this Post and Courier article.
