Candy-Cane-Christmas-EMBEDThe College of Charleston campus will be closed beginning Thursday, Dec. 24, 2015, and will reopen on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016.

Public Safety will monitor the campus and respond to emergencies. For emergencies, call 843.953.5611. For routine information and assistance, call 843.953.5609.

For those residing in downtown Charleston, particularly students living in off-campus housing, you can contact the Charleston Police Department at 843.720.2426, and request that an officer keep an eye on your residence while you are away.

All dining halls will be closed during the holiday break. Dining facilities will reopen as follows:

  • On Jan. 3, 2016, Market 159 will be open from 1 p.m. to 1 a.m. and Liberty Fresh Food Co. will open for dinner.
  • On Jan. 4, 2016, Liberty Fresh Food Co. will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Chick-fil-A will be open from 7:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., and Market 159 will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 1 a.m.
  • On Jan. 5, 2016, Starbucks and City Bistro will reopen.
  • A full January dining schedule can be found at the College’s Dining Services

Residence halls will reopen at noon on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2016.

Spring semester classes begin on Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016.

Both the men’s and women’s basketball teams will be in action over the holidays, but playing away games. Check cofcsports.com for a complete schedule.
