College of Charleston alumnus David Zendzian ’96 will be among the first group of speakers featured at the inaugural Syntax Code & Craft Convention.

David Zendzian

Zendzian, an expert in Information Technology and Security, hopes to pull back the curtain on cloud computing with his talk “Under the Cloud,” which will focus on the infrastructure of the omnipresent server technology. The goal of the fledgling convention is to foster ongoing education, ideas and collaboration among the developer community.

Zendzian, along with his brother Peter, co-founded Virginia-based ZZ Servers, an IT firm that specializes in providing web hosting, payment card industry (PCI) services and security services to businesses of all types and sizes.

Prior to launching ZZ Servers, Zendzian spent years working as a PCI qualified security assessor and penetration tester for companies such as Virgin Mobile, Williams-Sonoma, Wells Fargo and Kayak.com to help them meet credit card security standards. He also previously worked as a technology manager for Wells Fargo.

The Syntax Code & Craft Convention will take place on May 6-7, 2016, at the College’s North Campus.
