At the College of Charleston, we make history. And, today – July 1, 2016 – we’ve done it again.
With the culmination of BOUNDLESS: The Campaign for the College of Charleston at midnight last night, the College has received a collective vote of confidence from nearly 24,000 donors and surpassed the campaign goal of $125 million – an unprecedented milestone in the College’s 246-year history.
The BOUNDLESS campaign began in October 2009 with the goal of shaping the College’s next era of distinction. With significant achievements in many of the campaign’s five strategic priorities – scholarships, world-class faculty, academic/campus life programs, state-of-the-art facilities and annual giving – BOUNDLESS has ended on a high note.

“Our donors understand the value of a College of Charleston education and have expressed their vote of confidence through their giving,” says College of Charleston President Glenn F. McConnell ’69, noting that another campaign goal was also met: inspiring more than 10,000 alumni to support their alma mater. “I want to thank all of our donors for investing in the College. Their BOUNDLESS giving leads to BOUNDLESS impact across our university – from our academic and athletic programs to student learning and research opportunities. What’s more, their generous support has helped to redefine the College of Charleston and to establish a strong foundation for the future.”
While campaign numbers will not be announced until later this summer, one thing is for sure: Once you’re BOUNDLESS, you can’t be stopped.
“Campaigns like ours are about strengthening both our present needs while also laying a strong foundation for the future,” says McConnell. “Our work is just getting started.”
In other words, the College of Charleston will keep on making history. BOUNDLESS is just the beginning.
